Il presente lavoro di ricerca mira ad approfondire e arricchire, mediante nuove acquisizioni, lo studio in merito alle opere pittoriche di committenza gesuitica custodite presso le fondazioni palermitane dell’Ordine: chiesa del Gesù a Casa Professa, Collegio Massimo dei Gesuiti, chiesa di San Stanislao Kostka e chiesa di San Francesco Saverio. A queste si aggiungono i dipinti di committenza della Compagnia trasferiti presso altre sedi. Ulteriore intento è quello di organizzare in maniera più organica la trattazione delle commissioni artistiche dell’Ordine a Palermo, che si presentava dispersiva e frammentaria. Epistemic and didactic values of the demonstrative process in different cultures: a case study in Geometry with Chinese and Italian students

This paper presents same key findings of the research project conducted by G.R.I.M. of Palermo on the approaches to justification and proof in Geometry by investigating how Chinese and Italian teachers and students taught particular geometrical topics refereed to different epistemic and didactic values related to own culture. It was found that Chinese teachers and students emphasized justification of the proof by a stressed visual verification based on some metarules linked with the structure of their own written language and defined as historical Chinese modus operandi in the Jiuzhang Suanshu. The Italians paid close attention to mathematical proof by a hypoxemic deductive system defined on the Euclide’ Elements. The geometrical problem discussed on the paper was defined and presented as “one problem multiple solution problems” and “one problem multiple changes”. Important aspect of the case study discussed in the paper focus on the mediation of knowledge between Chinese and Italian students involved in multicultural class. According to us these kind of activities can establish possibilities for the students to confront their self with different cultural social and educational prospective of knowledge discovering the power of mathematics as tool of negotiation in multicultural class?Settore MAT/04 - Matematiche Complementari

Observaciones sobre una reflexión heterodoxa en los Comentarii de Juan Luis Vives a la Ciudad de Dios de San Agustín

The Patres ecclesiae?s works were a frequent topic of discussion at the time in which many humanists stood against the decadent medieval scholastics. That Juan Luis Vives was part of this tradition is demonstrated in his commentaries on Saint Augustine works. Despite its pedagogical function, the scholia of the Valencian author became quite subjective. In this sense, his ecdotic work or, specially, his «criticisms and censures» can be mentioned. Here, Vives strongly disapproves of the intense political and intellectual turmoil of his epoch. Patrones de abuso sexual infantil y su relación con características de personalidad

En este trabajo hemos estudiado las diferentes conductas abusivas en una muestra de sujetos condenados por abuso sexual y su relación con variables de personalidad. Nuestros datos apoyan que las distintas conductas abusivas estudiadas en relación al abuso sexual de menores, se agrupan en patrones o “estilos abusivos”, que guardan relación entre sí y que permiten diferenciar unos sujetos de otros en función de las prácticas abusivas.• Nuestros resultados apoyan también que el grupo de abusadores sexuales de menores es muy heterogéneo en cuanto a características de personalidad y que, como grupo, no presenta puntuaciones elevadas en ninguna de las escalas de personalidad o psicopatología eval…
